Mommy and Ace went to Tiny Town today - its last day of the season - and got a little silly on the train ride.

Fresh off his Lil' Kickers soccer class, Ace speeds through Whole Foods, flaunting basic shopping cart safety protocols.

Food Face

Chase was feeling a bit blue this afternoon, so Mommy made a funny face for dinner. His spirits brightened up immediately. Although, Mommy had to rearrange the food before he would actually eat. Perhaps a future vegan on our hands?

Ace Up His Sleeve

Ace proudly dons his new shirt bearing his name. Mommy was fortunate enough to meet an old friend at Ace restaurant last night, and luckily for our little guy, they had kid-sized shirts.

Yesterday's art project was on proud display this evening.

Our budding artist enjoyed painting the letters of his name with glitter paint this afternoon. With that hair perhaps he should be painting the letters that spell Alfalfa.

Ace creates four walls of bubbles at the Children's Museum this afternoon.

Playground Bound

In search of a new place to play, Mommy's research revealed a great playground in Aurora. As Ace played, we chatted with some locals, who said the entire place had been under water during the recent flooding. Fortunately, the waters had receded and everything was dried out for a morning of family fun.

Chubbs, the Shetland Pony

Chase takes a ride on Chubbs at the Botanic Gardens at Chatfield today. A tiger takes his first pony ride.

An unplanned visit to Lil Monkey Bizness led to the surprise revelation that Ace likes stencils. Trace on, dude!

Dentist Dandy

Finally, Chase's visit to the dentist went smoothly! He was the perfect patient today!

Today slipped by without a pic, necessitating a post bedtime trip into the Critter's room. He was already asleep, with "Hush, Little Baby" - appropriately enough - playing on his lullaby clock.

I'm sure there's something about Princeton that could be said here, but Mommy is tired and Daddy is snoring. Maybe he will change the caption tomorrow.

Getting to the Children's Museum was just as much fun as playing there, since it involved an umbrella and puddles. The joy of rain is not lost on the very young.

Ace's Ark

Colorado was hit with enough rain to flood streets and turn Daddy's school into an evacuation site, but The Critter just soaked up the excitement. Rumor has it that his pair of kitties were hidden under that coat, ready for Noah's arrival.

Walking in the Rain

Mommy had a plan -- keep Chase going all day so he would go to bed easy and early. One of our activities was to go to the zoo. In the rain. With a tired three year old who wanted popcorn. At a zoo where all but one food vendor were closed. It took 3 hours to circle the zoo. By the end of the trip we had one soaked to the bone kid and one beat Mommy. But, it was fun, really.

Endless Summer

Unseasonable warm temps - even for Denver - have kept the area pools open for an extra week. Alas, all good things must come to an end. Tonight was the final open evening for the Stapleton pools, and we enjoyed it as a family. The sun sets on summer and we're thankful about the many great memories we've created!

Asleep at the Wheel

Have you ever seen a more perfect bed for a kid who loves vehicles?!?

Ace has fully transitioned to a big boy bed, and we credit the ease of the switch to this cool slumber setup, which was courtesy of Nanna & Papa. (Although it may be a bit of a surprise to them!)

Train loves it, too, although the boys aren't yet allowed to spend the entire night together. We think they might get up to a bit of mischief.

Daddy was able to meet up with Mommy and Ace for an unexpected evening swim at Jet Stream tonight.

Mommy and Chase are holding onto summer for aslap. We spent the day at Jet Stream, enjoying the quiet pool and chill lifeguards.

One Man Parade

This little patriot decided to hold his own post-Labor Day celebration and marched around the block proudly waving Old Glory.

Auntie Jo

Chase enjoys his last day with Auntie Joann at the final day of the Puddle Jumper. We splashed and danced the day away and were sad to see her go.

Evening Stroll

Chase has delighted in having a very special guest this weekend - Mommy's aunt and namesake, Auntie Joanne. She's been full of fun and laughs, and ready for any adventure, including tonight's trip to Sam and Caleb's house to celebrate their birthdays.
