Chase shows off his latest art installation at the Denver Museum of Science and Nature. He discovered a wide-mouth water bottle in another part of the exhibit and used it to create the circles.
Ace downs a chocolate cupcake while lounging with our friends and neighbors the Crowleys. Mommy and Daddy were lucky enough to be invited over for a crawfish boil. While Mommy and Daddy went back for seconds, Chase stuck to 3 bean and potato salad, as those crawfish looked strangely like Captain Cray (the crustacean pet of friends).
Ace, wanting to buzz the tower, requests a fly by. Fortunately, his blue shades made his request undeniable and during the maneuver a half inch was taken off his bangs.
We had to leave Breckenridge today as our wonderful vacation came to an end, but not before we took a final ride on the gondola. Chase loves the gondola!
We celebrated the first day of summer by having continued adventures in Breckenridge, including a hike up onto snowfields that refuses to melt, despite the gorgeous 70 degree temps.
Mommy & Daddy are celebrating an early anniversary by spending 3 days in Breckenridge. While the gondola ride was fun, the clear highlight of today was the evening visit by the local (we assume!) fox.
While Mommy made it very clear that this little fella is NOT to be treated like a pet, Ace loved this brief encounter.
Despite Mommy's attempts to persuade Ace to go to the pool, he decided he wanted to go to the book store instead. While there we were treated to an unexpected visit from this Bearded Dragon named Zvezda (the Russian word for star). Who knew reptiles liked to read?
This is the look of contemplative delight Ace gets when he hears about a possible play date with Jamey - and Jamey's toy construction equipment - on the schedule for tomorrow.
Chase is able to find his balance after a busy morning at the airport, then the garden, and finally the Rec Center. Who knew that after all that activity the little guy would want to go to the pool for the first time this summer?!
We thought Ace was just fooling around in our bedroom after his bath, but when we went in to investigate, it turns out he was engaging with some serious literature.
