In addition to Easter baskets and a trip to the zoo, Mommy coordinated Easter dinner with our neighbors and a courtyard egg hunt. Ace should thank his lucky stars every holiday that he has his Mommy -- she knows how to celebrate, kid-style!
Ace prepares for Easter by trying his hand at egg dying. His patience paid off (he let them sit through dinner) with some truly brilliantly colored eggs.
Chase enjoyed reading a personal favorite, Knuffle Bunny Too (thanks to a gift certificate from Grandpa Fred and Grandpa Laurent, we now own all three books in this beloved series) in the rainforest house at the Denver Botanic Garden, today.
Nothing like fine literature and artificial humidity to get our minds off the snow outside.
During a snow day Mommy is prepared with several projects to fill the day. Here, Ace creates a construction zone with Moon Sand. Search Pinterest if you'd like to find out what that is!
The weekend snowstorm gave us our first official sledding opportunity of the winter. This self-portrait captures the essence - if not the view - of one of our many runs. Cowabunga!
Grandma and Ace enjoy some time together at Temple Emanuel's Grandparent's Breakfast. Making bookmarks, singing a few songs with the Cantor, and showing off his classroom made for a fun and busy morning.
Count 1,2,3,4,5,6... Ace seems to be on the mend after a nap uninterrupted by coughing fits. He's also excited to spend the weekend with grandma who arrived after bedtime.
No vomiting this time, but congestion and a whole bunch of coughing has kept the Critter from sleeping all day. Mommy is camping out in his room tonight, hoping a little companionship will help him to rest.
Although some snow was still hanging on (pretty decent for snowballs, actually), temps were downright balmy today, sending Ace and Daddy to the Sand Park. Muddy fun was had by all.
Chase, learning cause and effect, noticed that when he pressed a key on the piano the wires vibrated to create a sound -- or at least that is what Mommy told him.
