The trip to the Denver Zoo didn't pan out due to heavy crowds, but Chase was just as happy to test-ride yet another swing at a playground he and Mommy stumbled upon.

Everybody's a Critic

Chase enjoys a special sneak peek gallery tour moments before the doors opened on SOAR Charter School's "Year-End Learning Celebration." Chase was particularly intrigued by the students' use of tape to hang their creations.

Chase's friend Jamey spent the day at our house, playing and pushing. Working together they made the push cart reach speeds never before recorded.

Happy Zombie Jesus Day

Chase checks out his Easter Bunny Basket and the eggs inside at local park, where we finished our Sunday festivities. Thank goodness for Nanna and Papa, the benefactors of this largess, or he would have likely had no official paraphernalia to mark this holiday.

With chocolate-filled eggs, magical rabbits, and resurrected messiahs, it's all a bit much for Daddy to handle.

Earth Day Festival

While Mommy volunteered at the cloth diaper booth, Chase and Daddy found (and fondled) the Easter Bunny.

Chase connects with his inner Tom Sawyer as he inspects the whitewash job on a nearby fence.

Bedtime Story

Daddy reads to Chase and Snowman shortly before bed.

Music Man

With Mommy sick in bed all day, Daddy stayed home from work and accompanied Ace to his music class.

The fact that at least one member of the family is starting to feel better is music to all of our ears.

Passover

Chase started the day sick; Mommy finished it sick. In between we enjoyed our first Passover dinner at Marc & Gianna's house.

May the sickness pass over us quickly.

Poor Little Guy

Chase held tight to Snowman all day as he struggled with an upset stomach. After many changes in clothes and mid-day baths, he and mommy decided they didn't like today that much.

He's stumped

Chase explores the Deer Creek playground at the Denver Botanical Gardens at Chatfield. Leaping over stumps in a single bound, and aided by his trusty stick, Chase shows off his prowess.

Spoonful of sugar

Today, while at Whole Foods, Chase had his first experience with freezing sorbet. At first he wasn't so sure about it, but he realized that cold and delicious go hand in hand. Mommy is already thinking of ways she can use mango sorbet to bribe Chase to eat his veggies.

With his hair ready, Chase awaits throngs of screaming, adoring tweens.

Two filmsy velcro snaps on the cloth diaper could not contain Chase. No way.

Chase entertains himself behind a curtain as Mommy cleans the kitchen.

Chase always comes running when he hears the bathwater flowing. Playing with the faucet is nearly as much fun as the bath, itself.

Mommy and Daddy had to saddle up the trusty steed in order to keep Chase going during a rare one-nap day. Despite his tiredness, the Critter managed to remain upright throughout his ride.

Nose Job

Mommy is somewhat fixated on ensuring Chase has clear nasal passages at all times and has frequently tormented him with nasal spray, which he regarded with all the enthusiasm that our cats have for the vacuum. However, he has suddenly taken to grabbing the spray and putting to his own schnoz. He even makes sniffing sounds.

I guess it's all about who is in control.

Dinner Date

Chase gets a cuddle from Sara, a friend and colleague of mommy's. Taking Chase out to dinner is proving to be more difficult. He had to go out for a walk a couple times during tonight's meal.

Party Time!

Who needs pants when you've got a party toy as great as this?!?

Lair o' the Bear

A family adventure in the foothills to close out Reed's vacation week. The second hike of the season on a cooler, yet sunny morning which turned into a snowy afternoon. Chase's smug smile shows his satisfaction that he is the one riding, not walking.
